School Fundraisers That Works

Executing Your Fundraising Projects

One of the most disregarded but very important aspect of fundraising is how to properly execute your events. Preparation and planning is not enough to make a fundraiser successful, you need to properly execute them in order for you to be successful. You have to understand that the execution phase of your fundraiser is literally the whole body of your project. This will be the most critical time in your fundraising project since this will determine if you have properly planned and prepared everything out. So make sure to always stick to your plans and be flexible enough to change something that will not do well in your fundraiser.

The first step in effectively executing your fundraising events is to describe who will be your target customers. You need to be specific about defining your customers since this will help your volunteers identify potential customers in a crowd of people. This will also give an insight on what kind of approach they are going to use in offering your fundraising products. You must remember that your target customers is dependent on what kind of fundraising goods, services or events you are going to offer them. After you have successfully defined your target customers, ask your volunteers to prepare a prospect list that will become their first customers. The prospect list must include their families, friends and co-workers which will be considered their first customers. It is much better to start with your loved ones since they will be people that will readily support you and your team. You also need to partner your newly recruited volunteers with your senior volunteer so that they can learn from their superiors. This will save you time and effort in training them since your senior members can teach them in person. You can focus more time in managing your fundraiser and making sure each member is doing their tasks and responsibilities. This is also a good experience and exposure for your junior members since they will see for themselves how to be a good fundraising volunteer. You should also let your member do their own decision making in their jobs so that they won’t consult every now and then. This will make them more independent and make them more dependable in the mean time. But remember to look out for them all the time and see if they are handling their jobs right or not. You should understand that giving them the freedom to do their own jobs the way the like it will make them feel less pressured and overworked. Just make sure that what they are doing is right and will not put any problems in your events in the long run.

Always be open to changes in your plans since you will not know if your idea is good or not unless you have executed them. Focus on ways on how to attract customers since this will be your ultimate goal. You may have the best fundraising product around but without the support of your customers, it is pretty much useless.
