High School Fundraisers: Try Fun Quizzes

High School Fundraisers: Try Fun Quizzes

Jumping into high school fundraisers is a fun and exciting experience for students as well as for other volunteers because these allow them to help out for the betterment of their schools.

Are you planning on making a list of different high school fundraisers? If you lack just one more fundraiser idea on your list, try adding fun quizzes into your mix. Having quiz bowls is a fun, simple, and profitable way for you to generate money for your campus. These types of fundraising events work really good because they are very straightforward to organize; they offer a large opportunity for a social event; they don’t require a lot of materials or equipment other than a good venue; you can easily adjust them up and down so that you can make them suitable for different types of gatherings; you can arrange them in a way to fit the age of your contestants such as sports teams and seniors; and you can apply a theme that you desire if you want to make these part of an annual celebration such as Halloween and Christmas.

Even though organizing these fundraising events is very straightforward, you should never slack off when you’re setting these up. Keep in mind that planning is always key to a successful fundraiser so you need to pay close attention to this. Once you finish finding a good set of volunteers, the next thing you need to do is to decide on the type of quiz that you want to have. Fun quizzes work well for all types of groups and organizations but you have to be sure that the questions you’re going to prepare will match your participants. Add a theme for your event so that you can make it more interesting. Good examples of themes that you can use would be Film Trivia, Pop/Music Quiz, and Christmas Challenge. Choose a theme that will match your target audience. Aside from this you also have to be sure that the idea that you’re going to use will be meaty enough to sustain an entire evening. If you can’t come up with a single idea that will be entertaining enough to last for the entire duration of your event, you can use a mix of different ideas and you can apply them into the individual rounds or parts of your quiz.

Next, look for a good venue and set the date of your event. All types of places can be utilized such as village halls, bars, school rooms, and many others. If you have plans on selling food and drinks during the event, you need to consider the space and facilities inside your venue. A venue with bar facilities will help you make your event more popular but this may cause some cuts on your profits.

Next in line is the quizmaster. This person is vital. You need to have someone who’s energetic and one that has the ability to get the crowd pumped up. In addition, the quizmaster should also have natural presence and authority. Lastly, work on your questions. Divide these into different categories according to topic and difficulty.
