Unique Fundraising Ideas: Where To Set Up

Do you have great and unique fundraising ideas that you want to try but don’t know where to start? Are you confused where to set them up and how can people know about your whole fundraising campaign? In this article, I am going to discuss some of the most important aspects in doing fundraising projects and making them a success.

Most fundraising campaign involves selling products, offering services and setting up events. No matter how good your unique fundraising ideas are, they will be useless without people supporting your cause. Like all business establishment, location is an important part of determining how successful your fundraising efforts are. Choosing the best spot in your neighborhood is a must. You can easily sell your products or offer your services if you’ve set up your fundraising event in a good location. Determine the places where people usually gather and flock so that you can locate the best spots for your fundraising event. List them down and decide with your team the most excellent location to organize your project. Also check if those locations are free for public use or a private property. You don’t want to end being sued for trespassing.

Suitable places which have a high traffic of people include grocery stores, parks, shopping malls and public basketball courts. Also determine what kind of people are going to these places so that you can adapt what kind of products or services you can offer. In this way, you no longer have to look for potential customers in the wrong area. Divide your team members into small groups so that you can cover a lot of space when doing their sales campaign. In this way, you can create a steady stream of income since they will be working Divide and conquer as I may say. Make the most out of your chosen locations by determining specific key areas where most people tend to pass and likely to flock. For example, if you want to set up your fundraising campaign inside a shopping mall, establish your sales booth near food courts and entrances so that there is a high possibility that people will see them. This is a great strategy since people will unlikely go to a very far corner of the mall just to see your booth. Being visible to your customer is very important.

After determining where to set-up your fundraising event, prepare the schedules of your team as well as their tasks. This will prevent them from overlapping each other’s time and duties. Make sure that each of them will have breaks since you don’t want them to burn-out from doing their given tasks. Take good care of your volunteers since they are the life force of your whole fundraising event, plus they are not paid to do this. Show them gratitude for doing a good work and motivate them from time to time so that your fundraising event will run smoothly. In this way, when you’re doing another fundraising event, you can count on their support since they are already comfortable to work with you.
