Improving Your Preschool Fundraising Project

            The success of your preschool fundraising activities solely depends on how well your volunteers can execute their tasks and responsibilities. Every fundraising project in the industry today has the potential to become profitable and productive; you just need to make sure that your members are well-trained and well-versed in the art of selling. As a fundraising organizer, how will you be able to make your fundraiser a successful one?

            The need to make sure that you preschool fundraising events would become successful is very essential since your beneficiaries are all depending on your success. The first thing that you need to do in order to maximize your volunteers performance is to emphasize personal goals for themselves. Even though your fundraiser already has its own goals and objectives, it is much better if your volunteers also have personal goals for themselves so that they will become more motivated to work for you. Make sure that their personal goals would aim for achievement and success, not failure. After you have successfully made them their own personal goals, let them state it in front of the group. This is a good way to reinforce what they want to accomplish and would do whatever it takes to make it happen. Stating their goals in public would give them the motivation that they need to work hard on their tasks and responsibilities. After you have increased the self-confidence and motivation of your volunteers, the next thing that you need to secure is their own prospect list. A prospect list is a comprehensive list of people that they think would buy your products even though your fundraiser has not started yet. Make sure that they each have 10 target customers so that you can maximize the financial input of your fundraiser. In order to increase the chance that people will buy from you, your first customers should be people whom you know. People such as your family, friends, relatives and co-workers are some of the best choices in selling your initial products. Since you already have a bond with these people, it is not difficult to sell your products to them.

            Training your volunteers is just as important as motivating them. What’s the use of all the self-confidence if they don’t even know what to do in your events? The first thing that you need teach your volunteers is how to make a good sales pitch. Make sure that their sales pitch is convincing and appealing enough for the customers to purchase the products. A good sales pitch should always include the word “because” since this creates need, which would easily encourage your potential customers to help out. You should also make sure that the sales pitch that they will be using is not too long or too short. A three-sentence statement is highly recommended in constructing your sales pitch. Your volunteers should also be provided with the necessary fundraising paraphernalia that they need in order to sell effectively. Sales catalogues, brochures, sample products and order forms are essential in every sales volunteer in your team.
