Without a good location, your fundraising event might suffer from the lack of awareness in your community and would become unprofitable.

As a fundraising organizer, your main goal would be to make your elementary school fundraising event profitable. The success of a fundraising campaign relies solely on how effective your fundraiser can gain income. Even though you are starting a fundraiser for non-profit purposes, you need money in order to jump start you planned activities for your organization that’s why financial profitability is very important. In order to maximize the chance of your fundraising campaign to become successful and profitable, you need to obtain a good location for your fundraising events. Since most fundraising activities nowadays focus on selling products, you must set-up your sales booth where people in your community can easily see it. If your sales booth is located in a far location, chances are most people will not be able to know that you are running a fundraising event. It is highly recommended to set-up your sales booth in high traffic area where people can easily see your fundraiser. Corner lots are some of the most suitable places to set-up your booths since this will provide you with both visibility for potential customers and easy accessibility to whatever you are offering. If a potential corner lot is already occupied by a business establishment, you can ask permission to its owner if it’s okay to set-up your booths in their vicinity. While this strategy may not work all the time, you need to keep trying to convince them to help out your fundraiser. You can even offer advertising services for their business establishment like giving out flyers so that the benefits are mutual. Building relationships with local merchant may seem hard and a tedious tasks at first; but if you can finally convince them to partner with you, the benefits for your fundraising event is huge.

Aside from partnering up with local business merchants, you can also set-up your booths at malls. Department stores and malls are both great locations for your fundraising event since they are always crowded with a lot of people. This would increase the community awareness of your events which in turn will make your fundraiser very profitable. The best locations for these establishments are in the entrance area where you are guaranteed that people will really notice your events. Make use of large signs or banners in your fundraiser so that potential customers will easily see them from afar. You can even give out flyers at the entrance area thereby increasing your publicity. Make sure your flyers are appealing and attractive enough for people to come and flock in your sales booth. You can also give out freebies together with your flyers in order to entice peoples’ curiosity about your fundraising campaign.
