Smencils Fundraiser: Steps To Recruit Volunteers

Smencils Fundraiser: Steps To Recruit Volunteers

A Smencils fundraiser or any type of fundraising campaign will never work without a set of good and hardworking volunteers because these guys will be the ones to stand in front of the battlefield so that your group can generate the sales that it needs. A fundraising campaign requires group effort most of the time because this involves different tasks that have to be handled by people with different talents and capabilities.

In this article, I will be providing you different steps to follow so that you can effectively get volunteers for your Smencils fundraiser. Since you plan on doing a product fundraising campaign, you need to get people who are enthusiastic and energetic. This is specifically important for your sales team. The volunteers of your team who will be doing the sales part of the campaign, mustn’t be shy guys or introverts. For this particular task, you need to have an army of people who are really good at convincing people to take action.

A good way to start your recruitment mission is by approaching people who are sympathetic of your cause. For instance, if you plan on raising money by selling Smens or scented pencils so that you can provide funds to a public elementary school, then you need to approach the parents of students that are studying in that campus. Parents and relatives of elementary school students will be most likely willing to roll up their sleeves and get down and dirty just so they can help improve the educational experience of their children. Aside from parents and relatives, you can also try to approach for are really kind-hearted enough to sacrifice a part of their time for your cause. These types of guys are said to be the best types of volunteers. As people say, these kinds of persons possess the value, drive, and ambition of several fundraising volunteers. When you search for volunteers who can help you make your campaign possible, all you need to have is common sense. Start your search by approaching people who are tied to your cause and widen up your scope from that spot.

Aside from approaching people one by one, you can also try to send out letters to family, friends, and relatives. In addition, making posters and posting them on bulletin boards scattered across your community would also be a good idea to do. If you want to really spread the news about your group needing a good number of volunteers, you can try to approach your local newspapers, radio, and TV stations to help you do this. You can try to ask for a small ad space from your local newspapers. For radio and TV stations on the other hand, you can try giving them an announcement to air out during one of their programs where public announcements can be done for free.

Once you gather a good set of volunteers for your team, you need to properly orient them with the tasks that they’re going to handle.
