Preparing For A Team Fundraising Campaign

Preparing For A Team Fundraising Campaign

If it’s your first time to carry out a fundraiser campaign or program, then I am pretty sure that you are going through a lot of confusions right now. That is normal and you need not get depressed because of that. Instead of whining around in your seat, try looking at how you can plan your fundraiser well. If you are planning on doing a team fundraising campaign, then have a look at the steps that I will be discussing in here about how you can effectively plan your campaign so that you can make sure that every single part in it will work or flow smoothly once you give the go signal to your volunteers or members.

The first thing you need to for your team fundraising plan would be to develop goals and objectives. The goals and objectives that you set for your campaign should be based on the amount of money that you need to gather. In addition, make sure that you include the reason why you need to make money in the first place. For instance, if you plan on buying new sports uniforms for your team then, one of your fundraising objectives can go like this “To be able to raise $500 for new sports uniforms”. Make your objectives as specific as possible so that your volunteers or members will have a good grasp of the things that you need to achieve and the reasons why they need to exert a good amount of effort during your campaign. Your goals and objectives will serve as the navigational tools of your campaign as to the reason that these things will tell you the reason why you need to raise money; the things that you need to accomplish within your set period of time; and the things that you need to do to accomplish those things. When you set the goals and objectives of your campaign, make sure that you lay down ones that are feasible or doable. In other words, your goals and objectives should be realistic and time-bounded. Aiming high may be good but aiming too high will lead you setting your targets at something that’s impossible to reach.

Next, write down your fundraising plan. Your plan will contain the different tasks that you and your volunteers need to work on as well as the sources where you will be getting your funds. For instance, if you decide on having a salsa fundraiser campaign, then your main source of income would be salsa bottles. To earn money using this product, you need to carry out a sales campaign such as doing door to door sales. Selling products in a fundraiser requires an effective sales script. This will be one of the important tasks that you need to deal with when you carry out a salsa fundraising campaign. Lastly, have an estimate of the amount of money that you will need to get your campaign up and running and making money for you.
