Cookie Dough Fundraisers - Awesome Fundraiser

Cookie Dough Fundraiser: Factors On Team Effectiveness

A cookie dough fundraiser has a lot to consider in his organization. One to consider are the different factors that affect team effectiveness. There are a lot actually and each should be taken seriously.

A cookie dough fundraiser should be open minded as to the issue of diversity in the organization. It is a fact that each and everyone are unique and are different. And as the leader, he should be able to mend gaps and arrange these differences. One obvious factor is the age of the members. Yes it becomes a factor because we cannot get away with age and not associate it with seniority. In our society, it becomes evidently automatic that when one is older, he has the seniority in the group, so that person should lead and whatever that person says are rules and every one else who are younger have no choice but to follow.

It is for the fact that we commonly say, wisdom and experience goes with age. Another factor is gender. We cannot avoid a biased comment between how a female work against how a male work in an organization. We have been so much used to labeling people that we forgot how to respect them. Then, the physical differences of a person. This difference is not only limited to the gender of the person but the person's physical capacity to work. Physically challenged people, in the society have already faced a lot of discriminations as to how they will perform in the organization. Just because the person has only one leg, the company rejects him because they see it as a hindrance. They become too judgmental and forget how intelligent and skilled the person is. Then we have the norms. This becomes a hindrance to the company because set rules have limited a lot of members to live a normal life. We all have our own concepts of right and wrong based on our own religion or cultural background. Some norms are accepted by a great number of people but a few won't.

When it comes to these, it becomes difficult to manage because it leads to a debate of questioning one's values in life. And when it comes to this point, it becomes a never-ending debate. So it is very important for the leader to understand these and its effects. Lastly, the fight between what is more important, behavior or intelligence or so to say, EQ or IQ? Some would say that behavior is more significant than the intelligence of a person. No matter how intelligent the person is, if he cannot interact well with others or that he has personality problems then what he knows are just a piece of trash. People are loved in the company or lasts in the company not only because that person is intelligent but because that person has feelings for the organization; he has high EQ. But some would also say that the brain is placed above the heart because it should have authority over the heart. So, you should first think and validate your emotions. All these becomes a continued fight and struggle in many organizations; the many differences but still, what is  essential is how the company give importance to each of these few factors.
